How Do I Stay Committed? (Modules 5, 6, & 7)

The big question: How do I stay committed? While the word "committed" can be substituted with "focused", "persistent", "dedicated", and the likes, the fundamental foundations of Modules 5 & 6. It boils down to your habitual thinking and your goals.

My fitness goal milestone as of 07/17/2017

Module 5 - Habitual Thinking, discusses your process of thinking. This is deeply correlated with your belief system because your beliefs greatly influence your perception of reality and self. Here’s an example: If you believe you are not capable of jumping up onto a 3 foot tall platform, then you will likely not make the attempt. If you believe you will fall while attempting to jump onto that 3 foot tall platform, you’re likely to fall while jumping up. This stems from your belief system. The same concept applies when you’re thinking of your potential, your self-worth, your value, your skills, your attributes, or your goals.

Now those were negative examples. The magnificent part of this concept is it applies the exact same way when you believe in a positive manner. Believing you can make the jump, believing you can learn the skill, believing you can practice the skills, believing you are worthy, believing you are valuable, and believing you can achieve your goals will increase your chances for success incredibly. The odds of success will be so much in your favor that it won’t be a matter of if you’ll achieving your goals, but a matter of when.

Module 6 – Vision & Goals discusses exactly that. Your vision is your lifetime project while your goals are your milestones towards your project’s completion. The importance behind having these goals set in place is to guide you in the right direction. You’re goals are the destination points on your map. When you have a focal point, you can zero in on what you need to do, how you’re going to do it, and it serves as a reminder to you when you begin to stray off course. It’s important to revisit your vision, goals, and the steps you’re taking towards accomplishment so you remember what your plan is.

Module 7 – Autonomy & Action, focuses on the power of self-governance and the significance of doing. The empowered person believes deep inside themselves that they are responsible for the outcome of their life. They know it’s the combination of their choices and their actions that will generate the manifestation of their dreams to a reality worthy of extreme gratitude. This autonomy alone can drive a person towards success at exponential proportions. Owning your decisions enables you to eliminate waste and get straight to the essentials of success. The other, equally important component is to take action on all the decisions you make. Deciding to pay off your debt, but continuing to eat out and buy clothing you don’t truly need are not the actions that will lead to success for a debt-free goal. You need to live it, walk it, and do it!

Modules 5, 6, & 7 (and modules 1-4) all tie in together for A Living System™. Making the decision to change your beliefs, taking action to give yourself more credit and value, having goals set in place to guide you towards your vision, believing in those goals you’ve set for yourself, and carrying out the requirements to reach these goals will change your life dramatically. The source of this is new beginning lies within your belief system.
